Cayucos is one of California's last original beach towns. Situated just twenty minutes north of San Luis Obispo on Scenic Highway One, Cayucos offers a relaxed atmosphere with wonderful unspoiled beaches, a popular beachside boardwalk and a pier for fishing and enjoying the sunsets. San Luis Obispo county is located on the California Central Coast and is halfway between Los Angeles and San Francisco - about 250 miles either way - about 4 - 5 hours driving time on State Highway 101 - depending on traffic.
